I AM. Become intimate with me. You will know My name when events are revealed before you. You will know I Am. You will know I AM The One who reigns in Glory. You will know I AM The One who has dominion. You will know I AM The One displayed in all the earth. You will know I Am The One who is merciful. You will know I AM The One who is compassionate. You will know I AM The One who is abounding in love. You will know I AM The One who is slow to anger. You will know I AM The One who forgives rebellion and sin. You will know I AM The One who does not let the guilty go unpunished. You shall know My name. And as you know, you will be motivated to action that My name will be seen and My glory displayed. Isaiah 52:6  "Therefore My people shall know My name.  Therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it.  Yes, it is I." You shall "know"  = "yada" meaning to ascertain by seeing; to ascertain, achknowledge, acquaintance; comprehend; declare; discover; be aware; feel; have respect; be sure; understand. My "name" = "shem" which is a definite and conspicuous position; a mark or memorial of indviduality, renown, report. Therefore My people shall "see" (be aware, consider, comprehend, have respect, be sure, understand), My position, (renown, report).  We are going to SEE (know) the Lord in action.  His people will acknowledge, recognize Him, come to a deeper understanding of who He is as the movement of His hand - His reputation and renown, is visible.  It will not only be His people who "SEE" Him in this as His name/reputation/renown is evidenced in what is SEEN (happening, occuring).  We need to declare the works of His hand.  When others know who it is that we worship and when His hand moves in our defence/protection we make Him known to others.  As we "see" His "name" (reputation/renown) it is important for us to declare it in ALL the earth so that ALL men can come to a knowledge of Him.  God's coming is being proclaimed in everything that is happening right now.  Fire, SARS, Mad Cow, Power Outages, Viruses, Blights, Earthquakes, Floods, Tornadoes, Hurricanes.  For just as Isaiah 52:7 says, "How lovely on the mountains are the feet of Him who "brings good news"; we are to "declare", that is bring the evidence, of the coming of the Lord as these events unfold.  We are to make Him known in All the earth so that no man can say they did not know.  In Isaiah 52:8 it declares that the watchmen - those that are watching, looking, seeking the Lord are ready to proclaim Him and to declare Him - to TRUMPET Him when He moves, when His Name, His renown is drawn near, evidenced.  As watchmen we are to arise at His coming - watching for - peering for the movement of His name, His renown.  There is a frequent misconception today of the watchman in the verses of Isaiah 52:8.  The watchman of the Lord is not a territorial guard set in place to simply protect one church, one region, one body rather a watchman "watches", "looks for", "anticipates", the coming of the Lord and seeing His coming DECLARES IT - GIVES VOICE - PROCLAIMS His coming to HIS PEOPLE and TO THE EARTH.  His coming is promoted, called out, given voice to from the mountains to the deepest valley.  In too many instances we have lowered the position of the watchman to watchdog.  A watchdog is there to guard and to protect in order to scare off,  to attack any intruder, one who is not meant to be there.  Let us no longer expend our energies solely on fighting the unknown.  Let us expend our energies on coming to know Him in order that we may make Him known.  We are to be watchmen - to watch for the Lord.  He is to be our sole focus; we are to know Him intimately.  Our vision is to be set on Him and on declaring Him - to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. The Lord is coming to restore His people but it is not going to look like what we have expected.  We are not to be watchdogs that bark to protect and to keep out at the sound of one coming RATHER we are to PROCLAIM His coming, to announce it, to be excited about it - exuberant and JOYFUL - get excited - begin to prepare His people.  What will the coming of the Lord look like?  It will not look like a flood, a hurricane, or a tornado - nor will it look like war, disease, or death.  Remember God was not revealed in the wind nor the earthquake but He came after as a still small voice.  In the same way He will come in today in a still small voice that follows the wind, that follows the earthquake - He will come as He is revealed in His people as they touch the lives of those that are encompassed in their circumstance.  He will come as people are cured of their diseases.  He will come as people are rescued from their sin.  He will come as mercy and compassion are made known.   He will come as love is revealed.  And when this is complete - He will come.
